Local cooking oil are now able to meet local demand but are facing shortages of soya bean and cotton seed. Pure Oil is reported as having to import at least 50% of its raw material requirements.
Surface Wilmar currently supports farmers by offering to buy all soya bean available at prices consistently above import parity price.
